Instruction

Flight Instruction

Private pilot training and ground instruction, in New England and online.

Where to Train

In Person

New England

Train in your own airplane, or in club aircraft at CHI Aerospace and Skyhaven Flying Club. Flight training, flight reviews, and ground instruction — details vary by aircraft and location, so reach out and we'll figure out what works.

Online

Ground Instruction

One-on-one ground school, exam prep, and simulator-based coaching over video call using X-Plane or MSFS. Book a session.

Remote

Flight Simulator Consultation

VATSIM/ARTCC procedures training and simulator rig-building consultation. Book a session.

Training Approach

Structured Lessons

Every lesson has a goal, a standard, and a debrief, built around the ACS from day one.

Scenario-Based Training

Cross-country planning, weather briefings, diversions, and real decision-making, not just maneuvers.

Ground First

Solid ground knowledge before you touch the controls — thorough preflight briefings and real explanations, not just checklists.

Clear Communication

Before instructing, I spent two years as a software engineer at ForeFlight, building the tools pilots rely on every day. I bring that same precision to every lesson.

Philosophy

I love sharing my passion for aviation with new pilots — teaching, celebrating milestones, and mentoring students to their checkride and beyond. I teach with patience and structure — focused on understanding, not memorization. Everyone learns differently, so part of my job is figuring out what clicks for you. I'm comfortable with glass cockpits and modern avionics, but I still believe in stick-and-rudder basics you don't need a screen for.
